We are Pinterest employees organizing around workplace issues that matter to us.
In December, 2021, we organized a petition asking leadership to apply the new parental leave policy to all parents eligible for leave at that time. The benefit was extended to babies that are due in January 2022 who might be born early.
In April, 2021, we supported Ifeoma Ozoma’s Silenced No More Act with calls and emails to the hearing. It was passed in October 2021. Now, NDAs in California will not prevent former employees from speaking out about racism.
In August, 2020, we staged a walkout to protest the discriminatory treatment of our former coworkers, Ifeoma Ozoma, Aerica Banks, and Francois Brougher. Pinterest hired WilmerHale to make a plan for change, and made recommendations such as level and pay transparency. However, only some levels have become transparent in some organizations, and pay still remains opaque.

Hear it in their own words: Ifeoma Ozoma, Aerica Banks, and Francoise Brougher speak out.
